How did you spend your long weekend...

we spent several different ways. We could not make up our mind on what we really wanted to do. We thought about going away for a couple of days, but decided not too. Friday night I went to my Sister's for a barbque and got to meet Dusten's(nephew) girlfriend Kelly who was born in Romania. She is going to be returning to Romina at the end of June for a visit, she hasn't been there for about twenty years. I cannot wait to hear all about her trip and she her photos!

Saturday we did some yard work and put up an arbor from our side yard to our back yard, it looks so nice. Sunday we had a lazy day and didn't do too much!

Today we went to the beach, took our pooch with us. I couldn't believe it but there were people swimming in the lake, a little too chilly for me. It was in the mid 70's and very windy. We packed a picnic and had a great day. Some of the people around us had brought their doggies also. The one came over and played with Keesha. It so reminded me of kids coming over to play. The funny thing about our visiting pooch was that she reminded me of my Zeke, a pooch that was so my dog. We have had quite a few over the years, but he was my absolute favorite.

Why did I get up at 6:00 a.m.....

on a Sunday? Maybe because I napped so much yesterday. But I did manage to get a little scrappin' in. My honey went mushroom hunting with two of his cousins all day. Darn it, they didn't find any morels, love those mushrooms! Ok sweetie, the yard needs mowed badly today.
Went to our nephew's wedding last year in Pittsburgh and I finally managed to get a page scrapped.

It is so groovy...

I am a Guest Design over at if it's groovy. It is such a fun and unique place to spend time at. One of Deb's challenge is National Salad Month Challenge! She is also looking for a Green Queen! Do you think you have what it takes to be a green queen? Go click on if it's groovy and find out. Wow this blog is hoping, she has an upcoming "1980's" crop June 4 through the 14th. Who could resist that one!!!

On a side note, Maxine from West Virginia was hosting a fundraising crop in West Virginia and Deb is from Virginia and I am from Michigan. Deb surprised everyone by coming to the crop without anyone of us knowing it and I was so super excited to me her! What a genuinely fun loving person!!! Come on over and play with us!!!

Happy Mom's Day!

My Mom was an amazing woman! Every time the lilacs bloom I think of her, they were one of her favorite flowers! Don't ever take your Mom for granted! I truly miss you!
