Is there anything....

wrong with using your "old" paper to do a layout? Why do they continually come out with new stuff. I need to stop buying so much paper at a time so I don't have the so called "old" paper! The scrappy industry is constantly coming out with new things to play with and do I really need all that new stuff? No, I don't need it, but oh my goodness are there new things out there that I want. I am trying to be good and not get caught up in all the hype! Am I doing a great job of talking myself out of it?
Wow, we received another 9 inches of snow today. It took me double the time to get to work this morning. I leave my house at 6:00 a.m. and no snow plows were out yet, what is up with that! One more day of work for me this week and I have a four day weekend!!!

Early Valentine present...

for my Godson Zack! Our niece Megan and our nephew Zack came up on Saturday night to watch some movies and spend the night. Wow that was a blast from the past! They use to spend quite a bit of time at our house when they were little. It was so nice to have them spend a weekend with us again! Hey you two, don't be strangers! Maybe next time I will make my "famous" donuts for you! Zack loves baseball, so I decided to take one of the many pictures I have taken of him at his games and get a set of playing cards made for him. I was going to send it to him around V day, but decided to give them to him this past weekend! I think he was a little surprised! Love you Megan and Zack! Come back soon!

I am in love....

with my new hairstylist! I have been going to the same hairstylist for years and I really wanted a different style, but she seemed to keep going back to my same style, a little different versions. Soooooo I took the plunge today and went to this hip new stylist! His name is Larry and the next time I go I am taking my camera, because "The Look" is a cool place! He is also an artist and he displays his art work in his shop! It is absolutely fabulous, he recycles vintage things and creates art! So here is the reveal of my funky, punky, spunky hair:

Mini book I created...

for a Fisk-a-friend of mine. Please click on Carrie's Book to see the slide show. I cut the chipboard with an AccuCut at my LSS. Need to get this in the mail since her baby girl is due in February!

My Fisk-a-friends needed a little help...

with making bookmarks for CHA 2009 Winter that is taking place in California, gosh I wish I could go to get out of this freezing, ok below freezing cold weather! They will be passing out approximately 1000 of these babies. Oh no, I didn't make 1000, but made 24 of them. I love that little scissor punch, it was the first time I used that. Don't ya just love orange handled scissors. Oh BTW, I have a 4 day weekend and I am so hoping I can get some scrappin' done because I just got my pictures from our trip over the holidays. I was so excited to see them in the mailbox! Stay warm everyone!

Even though we received 12" of snow...

I still went to the crop on Saturday, not sure if I would of went to work if it snowed that much on a work day, but croppin' is a different story. Don't tell the Boss!
I ended up winning one of the prizes given away and I was so excited. This is what I won, don't ya just love to win goodies? Here is the description: This is the perfect gift album or brag book. Each photo-safe Story Sleeve holds photos or matted photos as large as 4 ½- x 6 ½-inches. Turn the album into a photo easel with the exclusive magnetic cover strap. Happy mail today...

Not only is it Friday, but I won a RAK from one of the scrapbooking communities I belong to and it came today. Don't ya just love happy mail! Almost makes you do a happy dance! Ok, I know I get a little carried away sometimes. Take a look at this, lots of goodies. The little flowers are adorable! As long as we don't get the 8-10 inches of snow that is fore casted tonight I will be going to a crop tomorrow and I am definitely taking these little goodies along with me and hopefully I will be posting a layout of my creation. Plan B is to stay home and scrap! Either way it is all about me tomorrow! Thanks Art Freckles! Art Freckles is a fairly new scrapbooking community and I am not usually into purchasing scrapbooking kits, but I am telling you they have some awesome kits. I purchased this kit:in December and I so cannot wait until I receive our pictures of our vacation that we took over the Christmas Holiday. This one is sold out, but the January kit is for sale and it is so adorable.

It is only a little after 6:00 p.m....

and dinner was in the oven over a half hour ago and should be ready in a few! I threw together a tuna and noodle casserole. When honey gets home and smells dinner he will think he is in the wrong house. I am the type of person who likes to relax for a bit after getting home from work before dinner gets made, but for some reason tonight was different. Fed the furry kids and began making dinner for us, of course I washed my hands after feeding the furry kids!! Wonder if I will do the same tomorrow night, probably not, because we can have left overs from tonight!

Happy 2009 Everyone!

Can you honestly believe it is 2009? Can anyone tell me where 2008 went? I remember Mom telling us when we were younger that the older you get, the quicker the time goes. Wow Mom, you were right once again!
While we were in San Jose Del Cabo over the Christmas holiday we wanted to find a church to attend mass at and boy did we find a great one! The church was built in 1730 and the entire mass was in Spanish, boy do I need to learn Spanish! There were so many people who attended the mass that the church could not hold all of them. There were as many people outside as there were inside. We also discovered that the big meal for Christmas in Mexico is a turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Wow were we surprised! We decided against tradition and went to an authentic Mexican restaurant called Jazimins, yummy!
